Assist Access/Maintain Employment is an NDIS support that helps you build the skills and structure needed to move toward work, stay employed, and feel more confident in your day-to-day life.
At Empower Independence Care, we provide practical, person-centred support to help you explore opportunities, improve work readiness, and maintain routines that support long-term employment success.

Support is tailored to your goals and can include:
Building confidence, motivation, and a healthy work routine
Support with planning your week (sleep, meals, transport, preparation)
Developing communication skills for work (speaking up, asking for help, teamwork)
Practising interview readiness and job-related social skills
Improving time management and organisation
Support to attend community-based skill-building activities related to work goals
Encouragement and practical coaching to stay consistent once work begins
(Note: We can work alongside your employment provider if you already have one.)

We support self-managed and plan-managed participants (and can discuss options if you are NDIA-managed). Availability may vary by location and schedule — contact us to check current openings in your area.

FAQs
1) Is this support only for people who already have a job?
No. It can support you to work toward employment or help you maintain a job once you start.
2) Can you help me write a resume or apply for jobs?
We can support you with confidence, routines, and preparation. If you need specialist job placement services, we can also work alongside an employment provider.
3) What if I struggle with interviews or anxiety in new environments?
We can help build confidence, practise communication, and support gradual exposure to new routines at a pace that feels comfortable.
4) Does this include transport to work?
We can support planning and transport assistance depending on your NDIS funding and service agreement.
5) Can supports be flexible around my schedule?
Yes. We try to schedule supports around your routine, availability, and goals (subject to staffing availability).
6) Do you work with Support Coordinators and families?
Yes. With your consent, we can coordinate with your support coordinator, family, or carers to ensure your supports align with your plan goals.
7) How do I know if my NDIS plan covers this support?
If your plan includes capacity building supports and employment-related goals, you may be eligible. Contact us and we can guide you through what to check.
